Lochview Cove on Lake Okanagan in the heart of Kelowna, B.C. is a premiere waterfront home with a private dock, dockhouse, kayaks and boat lift.
Summer Months - Sleeps 7 in three bedrooms plus the family/games rm. The beds are: Queen and twin; Double; Queen; and a new single sofa sleeper. Guests enjoy panoramic views from all rooms. You will feel secluded in the woodsy surroundings, yet you are only minutes from all the Okanagan has to offer!
All other months - Sleeps 5 in two bedrooms plus the family/games rm. The beds are: Queen and twin; Queen; and a new single sofa sleeper. Guests enjoy panoramic views from all rooms.
Enter through a large, Spanish tiled foyer with a bistro set, tropical plants, natural light and breathtaking views. The modern two story home has floor to ceiling windows, large balconies, a fireplace, 2 lrg screen TVs and many amenities. All bedrooms have access to the large, covered veranda. Guests have plenty of patio furniture on both spacious balconies and at the extensive private lakeshore.
Enjoy the large cook's kitchen with a double oven, lots of spices and cooking oils, butcher block counter, granite island, breakfast table that seats six, breakfast bar with three stools and a walk-in pantry.
The extra large living room has leather sofas and chairs, a large screen TV, fireplace, bistro/games table and beautiful stained glass clocks. Plenty of games, books, movies and CDs.
The new Family/Games room (July 2011) offers guests a wonderful, bedroom level family retreat with a large, flat screen TV, kitchenette with frig, mw, coffee maker and other amenities, professional poker/games table with a reversable top, single sofa sleeper, walk in closet, pantry closet with games, full ensuite and double french doors leading to the large, covered veranda.
The walk to the lakeshore takes about two and a half minutes along a private, sloped pathway and short stairway. The walk up to the house takes about three and a half minutes and has breath taking views. The pathway lights up at night (solar lights) and there are lights at the dock. Be sure to always accompany small children and hold their hands.
There is an extra refrigerator in downstairs laundry room. One propane barbeque at house and one at dock. The kitchen is natural cherry wood with floor to ceiling windows, breakfast nook and skylight, Spanish tile floors, granite counter tops and island with eating bar. Covered 60'x10' bedroom level veranda has patio table and chairs. We recently installed a composting toilet at the dock house. October through mid-May rents exclude use of Dock House and boat lift. Recommend 4 wheel drive when there is snow.
